The rules of the game

How it works

Everything that happens between the first invite code and the reveal.

01

Forming a duo

You create the duo and get an 8-character code, valid for 7 days. Your partner types it or scans its QR code, and the duo is formed. You can prepare your season right away.

Either of you can leave the duo at any time. The current season then ends with no winner, and each person keeps their XP in their history.

02

Preparing the season

  • The length. 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 1 month, or until a date of your choice: between 14 and 92 days.
  • Your habits. Each of you creates your own, for yourself: every day, on some days of the week, once a week or on chosen dates. Each one has an effort level: small, standard or big.
  • Your wishes. Up to 3, with a title, a description, a link and an estimated price. You set a shared cap: free, under 20, under 50 or no limit. The lower of your two choices applies.
  • The start. Once your habits and wishes are ready, you confirm your preparation, and your partner confirms theirs. The season starts on the day both are confirmed.
03

Every day

  • Ticking. You tick off your habits in the app, or from a widget with Pro. Your gauge for the day fills up, and your partner watches it rise.
  • Until 4 am. A game day stays open until 4 in the morning, in the duo’s time zone.
  • Perfect day. All your scheduled habits are ticked: you earn a bonus in proportion to the day’s XP.
  • Streak. A day counts towards your streak when you earn at least 80% of that day’s scheduled XP.
  • Jokers. Two per season, automatic. Once your streak reaches 3 days, a missed day is covered overnight. A joker protects your streak, without giving back the XP or the perfect day.
  • Offline. Tick anyway: nothing is lost. Your ticks go out as soon as you are back online, up to 7 days later.
04

The race

You and your partner move along the same track. You see the trend (well ahead, ahead, neck and neck, behind, well behind), but neither the gap nor the other’s exact score.

Neck and neck: every day counts

05

XP

  • The same total for both of you. With three habits or ten, you have the same XP to win, split across your habits.
  • How it is split. First across the days on which you have at least one habit, then, within a day, according to each habit’s effort.
  • How much. For 30 days, 1,300 XP in total: 900 for habits, 250 for perfect days and 150 for medals. A shorter season is worth less, always the same for both of you.
  • Medals. Streaks of 3, 7, 14 and 21 days (10, 20, 30 and 40 XP), 5 and 10 perfect days (20 and 30 XP). A medal that a short season cannot reach is not offered.
  • Never negative XP. A missed day takes nothing away from what you have earned.
06

The reveal

The season closes at 4 am on the morning after the last day. The reveal opens by itself at 9 am: the race replays day by day, then both exact scores appear.

Whoever lost chooses which of the other’s wishes to grant. The choice is final. In a tie, each of you receives one of your wishes.

07

And after

Your seasons stay in your history: the last 3 on the free plan, all of them with Pro. For the next one, you can keep your habits or pick new ones.

08

Reminders and comfort

  • Reminders. At the time you choose for each habit, a nudge in the evening when your streak is within reach, news from your duo and the reveal. By default, nothing arrives between 10 pm and 8 am, and no reminder ever scolds you.
  • Accessibility. Colour-blind modes, stronger contrast, your phone’s text size, reduced animations, celebrations that wait for your tap, vibrations, light or dark theme.
